Gigadō Ashiyuki
戯画堂芦幸 (Gigadō Ashiyuki, active 1813–1833) — Osaka's answer to the great kabuki print masters. Where Edo artists painted star power, Ashiyuki captured something rawer — the theatricality of a city that took its kabuki seriously and wasn't afraid to show it.
