Toyohara Chikanobu
豊原周延 (Toyohara Chikanobu, 1838–1912) — Meiji Japan through an artist who loved both eras. Chikanobu documented court life, traditional ceremony, and a rapidly Westernising Tokyo with the eye of someone watching the old world disappear.
